Local Blood Banks
Although Violet can not have direct donations, we have been encouraging
friends and family to donate to your local blood bank in general.
The Teddy Bear Foundation
An amazing group of people who provide hotel rooms, finical assistance, and support to
children with cancer and their families. There have been a lot of people
asking if they can pay for a room for us through Teddy Bear (so we have
the hotel the whole stay instead of having to check in and out).
Project Linus
A
wonderful group who donates new handmade blankets to children in the
hospital. I personally have donated blankets throughout the years and we
are now on the receiving end! If you don't crochet, knit, quilt, or
sew, you can donate $, new SOFT washable yarn, or quilting supplies. I
have been working on a few projects here in the hospital to replenish
the stash.
